TenPearls chase down 145

Reckitt and Benckiser Vs TenPearls (4th Corporate Cup)

A spirited bowling performance followed by a collective batting effort helped tenPearls to chase down 145.

Reckitt and Benckiser batted first and were off to a terrible beginning losing early wickets in a heap which did not allow them to get settled to have any momentum.  The start rocked them back and they tried to come back into the game with the partnership between Mehboob and Hassan. The pair scored more than 60 runs together helping their side to crawl back into the match. Mehboob was looking good before he had to go back to the pavilion as he got retired hurt for 36 which was a setback to Reckitt and Benckiser. On the other hand, Hassan also got out after scoring 43 and remained the highest scorer. The rest of the batting order collapsed and in the end they managed to score 145.

TenPearls after a good bowling performance and restricting Reckitt and Benckiser to 145 were hoping for a breezy start with the bat and they were given a good start by Asad and Ajdal. Both batted for a while and gave a good platform to rest of the batsmen. After they got dismissed other batsmen came in, got settled and lost their wickets which was a frustrating thing for TenPearls. Reckitt and Benckiser were hoping to keep picking wickets at regular intervals to hold them back but Faiz ul Haq and Abeer Khan stabilized things with their partnership. Faiz remained the highest scorer and batted sensibly for his 31 of 18 to take his side over the line in 18.4 overs.aq Haq
