TNN Titans Vs Starwood Properties (ACM Gold T20 Night League)
TNN Titans snatch victory with an all round performance.
TNN Titans batted first against Starwood in the first innings of the match. Opener Sabih Merchant lost his wicket early on in the innings for just 11 runs. His partner Shakir Serang however lead from the front with an impressive 41 run knock to get his team off to a roaring start. He was further supported by Bilal Omer who scored 33 runs for his side and kept the scoreboard ticking. Owais Pasta was the star of the show, with a brilliant 50 run knock that consisted of 1 boundary and 4 sixes. Titans momentum was finally broken by the trio of Maaz Naveed, Arif Yaqoob and Maeez Waqar who took 2 wickets each to put on a brake on the flow of runs. TNN Titans were eventually bowled out for 185 runs in 19.5 overs.
Starwood Properties were off to a disastrous start in their chase losing opener Fahad Jabbar for duck! The team were outdone by a brilliant display of bowling and were unable to gain stability at any stage of the innings. Wickets fell regularly with Yasir Tanvir and Rehman Malik being the only notable contributors for their side, scoring 39 and 33 runs respectively. Hunain was the star bowler to pick up 3 wickets in 3 overs. Idrees Amin, Yousuf Jetpur and Ubaid Umer did further damage with the ball, taking 2 wickets each to bowl out the opposition. Starwood Properties was bowled out in 18.4 overs at a total of 142 runs.
TNN Titans won by 43 runs.
