TPL Insurance beat Shan Foods in a match in the 35th Challengers Corporate Cup.
Batting first, Shan Foods were off to a good start as their openers Adnan Khalid and Abdul Rafay Khan scored 20 and 26 runs respectively. Middle order batsman Abubakar made 22 runs off 17 balls, and the remaining batsmen made small contributions to the total. The team managed a score of 120 runs. TPL’s bowlers dominated as Jawwad Haider and Muhammad Kamran bagged 4 wickets each. They were supported by a strong bowling attack who restricted the opponents.
TPL Insurance struggled initially as the top order did not make many runs, putting pressure on the team. However, Ali Haider’s fantastic knock of 43 off 38 balls including 6 boundaries took pressure off the team. Syed Yawar Hussain Rizvi’s 18 runs and Muhammad Waqas’ 12 runs helped the team chase their target. Samano Khan took 4 wickets for Shan Foods.
