ICT faced off against Rising Stars at Al Mansoora Ground in a 14th Challengers Cup bout.
The ICT openers came out to the middle and were over joyed to see a strip that could easily have been termed as a batting paradise. ICT lost Adeel early for 9 and then Taqi for 10, but that brought together Adeel Khan and Ibad Khan. The Khans carefully set about slowly ripping the heart out of the Stars bowling as boundary after boundary shattered the confidence of the bowlers. Both batsmen had enough time to reach their centuries, with Adeel ending up at 105 off only 50 balls while Ibad was not out at 106 off 54 balls at the end of 20 overs. ICT set the stars an improbable 252 runs for victory.
The Stars innings never really got going as Adeel was back in the hut for only 1. Abdur Rehman and Haris both scored 26 and there was a late 31 ball 47 by Shabbir but none of the batsmen even came close to the Khans of the oppositon. Haris Iqbal picked up 3 and Hasnain and Rafay picked up 2 wickets each as the Stars crashed to a resounding 87 run defeat.
