Unity Vs Karachi Warriors (Khas and Viper Premier League)
Unity proved their strength in the field by destroying the Warriors batting order and crowning themselves as Victors of the match.
Unity were to bat first against the Warriors in the first innings. The team struggled to get things going, losing openers Fahad and Haroon early on in the innings. Bilal Iqbal and Faisal Karim then stepped in to stabilize the innings, contributing valuable runs with the bat and keeping the scoreboard ticking. The duo formed a solid partnership of 61 runs. Hassan Ahmed scored 21 runs for his side and was the only other notable contributor for his side. Karachi Warriors were aggressive with the ball, picking up wickets regularly and limiting the flow of runs. The team worked together as a unit with each member of the bowling line up contributing to their side. Unity were bowled out for 113 runs in 17 overs.
Karachi Warriors looked comfortable with the target set by their opponents and were looking forward to an easy win. Usman Mazhar got the ball rolling for his side and scored 38 runs, with little help from Jawwad Anwer who was dismissed early in the match. Unity knew that they had set a vulnerable target and fought hard to defend their team's total. Warriors batsmen were unable to keep their wickets intact and fell in regular intervals. Danish Maqbool and Naveed Akhtar were the only two batsmen to carry a partnership of 41 runs, soon after the which the Warriors simply fell apart unable to gain stability or momentum at any stage of the innings.Haroon Mehmood was the key bowler with an incredible spell of 3 overs, picking up 3 wickets. Karachi Warriors were limited to 106 runs in 20 overs .
