Shamsher Khan CC Vs Wonder Boys (15 challengers cup)
68 runs knock from Usman Nasir followed by a collective bowling effort from the bowlers helped Shamsher Khan CC beat Wonder Boys by 8 runs.
Shamsher Khan CC batted first and were off to a brilliant start as their openers gave them a perfect platform. Both Usman and Moneeb smashed the bowlers around the park with their hard hitting. Usman in particular was unstoppable as Wonder Boys had no answers against him. He was in prime form and his 68 which came of just 39 balls gave his side a real opportunity to score big. His opening partner managed 31 but once the openers were dismissed Wonder Boys came back strongly and exposed the middle order which could not contribute much. Still Shamsher Khan CC managed to score 167 due to perfect opening stand.
After a good end to the bowling innings, Wonder Boys had a horrible beginning with the bat. The top order did not contribute much and they were sent back to the pavilion quite early which pushed Wonder Boys on the back foot. Madni and Kashif then started the rebuilding process, they battled for a while and gave another hope to Wonder Boys with their partnership. Kashif was in threatening mood and with his cameo of 41 of just 21 balls, he rang alarm bells in the Shamsher Khan CC camp. But once Farhan Ismail dismissed him, no one else managed to bat long and they were restricted to just 159.
