Velocity X went against Rajby on 6th December at DHA Sports Club.
Batting first, Velocity X posted a total of 137 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Adnan Salim, the two-down batter, stood out in stabilising the innings after the top-order collapsed. He scored 41 off 35, hitting 2 fours and 3 sixes. Farhan Arif and Rameez Mehmoob scored 27 and 31 runs respectively. Abdullah Sohail, from Rajby took 3 wickets while Musatafa Moosa and Muhammad Bilal Shoaib dismissed 2 batters each.
Umer Tasleem and Muneeb Javaid opened the chase for Rajby, scoring 22 and 16 runs respectively. Anas Iqbal was playing a steady innings of 40 runs, however, he got run out by Bilal Aslam. The bowlers successfully halted the batters’ momentum and built pressure. Adeel Abbasi and Adnan Ghazi bagged a 3-wicket haul each. While Farhan Arif and Shahid Nepal knocked a wicket each.
As a result, Velocity X defended their score by 3 runs only in 19.5 overs dismissing all the batters of the opponents.
