Chiniot United Vs Viper XI (Khas & Viper Premier League)
A brilliant partnership between Saqib and Abuzer helped their side win comfortably by 8 wickets in 15 overs against Chiniot United.
Chiniot batted first and were off to a rocky start losing their openers quite early in the game. Asif and Qamar then got together and started the repair work. The dup batted for a while, Asif was slower as he scored 27 of 43 balls with 1 boundary whereas his partner Qamar was the quicker of the two scoring 41 of just 28 with 4 fours. Muneeb Shah with some lusty blows down the order scored 26 of 15 which took Chiniot to a modest 140.
The target was not a big one but pressure of chasing was there on Viper batsmen as their opener were dismissed after a quite reasonable but not the best of starts. The dismissal of both the openers gave Chiniot a ray of hope to come back in the game but all their hopes of winning ended with the brilliant partnership between Saqib and Abuzer. Both scored half centuries and ensured that their team gets over the line without any more hiccups. Saqib with 57 and Abuzer with 53 which included 3 mighty sixes together added more than half of team’s total and stayed together till the end to saw their side home easily by 8 wickets only in 15 overs.
