Benitoz Panthers batted first against Terry World Tigers in a match of Legends Cup. Panthers got a fine start with their openers Tabish and Ahmed scoring 22 and 41 runs respectively. But it was Shumail’s striking knock of 71 runs which helped Panthers reach to a strong total of 168 runs. Daniyal from the lower middle order also played his role and scored 21 runs. Kamil Mehmood from Tigers put an excellent show of his bowling and picked up 4 wickets. But the rest of the bowlers did not follow their teammate much and leaked so much runs. Hammad Sheikhani, however, also secured 2 wickets.
Terry World Tigers, in reply, had a poor start as they lost both their openers for nothing. Hammad Shekhani along with Mirza Shoaib took some responsibility and tried to drive Tigers towards the target. Hammad played a fabulous innings of 51 runs while Shoaib scored 33 runs. But as soon as both of these batsmen got dismissed, Terry World Tigers started losing wickets frequently. Though Rehan Hanif from down the order scored an unbeaten 22 runs, it did not compensate much and Tigers were bowled out for 133 runs in 17.2 overs. Waqas Ali Vohra from Panthers had a memorable day as he took a fifer. Umer and Faisal also bagged 2 wickets each.
