2nd Dollar East Day Tournament
Royal C.C took on Medicam at Asghar Ali Shah Stadium in a league match. Royals batting first lost Usman(4) early but his dismissal brought Waqas Haroon to the crease. Waqas started to middle most of the balls he faced and steadily the run rate picked up as the ball started hitting the ropes regularly. Umer(20) and Abdul Samad(38) provided decent support but Waqas continued on his merry ways reaching 90 off 62 balls before he ran out of overs to complete his century. Arsalan, Qamar and Jam picked up a wicket each as the Royals finished on 174 for 3.
Medicam started the chase in buoyish fashion before losing both openers Jahangir(10) and Daniyal(16) to Amjad and Taha resprctivvely. Arsalan came to the wicket and fought hard but after he was dismissed for 33, the Royals took the sails out of the Medicam innings as Taha, Amjad and Arif all picked 3 scalps each to dismiss Medicam for 111 in the 19th over and won the contest by a heavy 63 run margin.
