Warriors CC Outplay Wonder Boys

Warriors CC locked horns with Wonder boys in this exciting fixture of the 15th Challengers Cup. Warriors CC batted first and had to face the loss of an early wicket. But before any damage could be done, Adeel A Majid and Salman Moten created a brilliant partnership and put Warriors CC in the driving seat. Adeel scored 43 runs off just 25 balls while Salman made a brilliant half century by scoring 67 runs off 41 balls. After this superb partnership, the rest of the batting lineup contributed in bits and pieces and at the end of 20 overs, Warriors CC posted 174 runs on the board. They lost 7 wickets in the process as 2 wickets each were taken by Daniyal, Furqan Nawaz and Sajid while 1 wicket was taken by Ali Mir.

Wonder Boys needed to play out of their skin in order to chase this huge target. The pressure was immense and it reflected in the batting style of Wonder Boys. The start was not up to the mark as both the openers failed to score in big numbers and this increased the work load for the rest of the batsmen. None of the batsmen managed to cross the 20 run mark except Kashif Khan who scored 23 runs off 19 balls. Such a dismal batting display resulted in a loss for Wonder Boys as they were all out in the last over at the score of just 106. 2 wickets each were taken by Shahzaib, Wali and Zain Altaf and the rest of the bowlers also contributed well enough to restrict the Wonder Boys batting lineup. The match was won by Warriors CC by 68 runs.
