Benitoz Panthers batted first and had a disastrous day out with the bat! Losing wickets frequently, the batsmen were unable to contribute runs and keep the scoreboard ticking. With the top 4 batsmen being dismissed for 6 runs, the team was desperate for a save. Hunain Usman then stepped in to stablize the innings with a much-needed knock of 46 runs to help his team post a respectable total. He received little support from the rest of the side however as the Strikers bowlers continued to take wickets. It was an all round star performance with the ball with Saad Dawood leading the attack. Usman Ghani, Imran Idrees and Adeel Abbasi also took 2 wickets each to decimate the opposition. Benitoz Panthers were bowled out for 120 in 19.5 overs.
With a modest total to chase, Wintex Strikers were considerably on top. The team lost a few quick wickets early on in the innings but managed to recover effectively. Ahsan Zafar was the key contributor for his side, scoring a valuable 37 runs. The rest of the batsmen threw away their wickets but managed to score enough to keep the chase ticking. Panthers bowlers put up a great fight with Ahmed Arshad and Adeel Majeed taking 2 wickets each to rattle the Wintex batsmen. With too low a score to defend, they were eventually unsuccessful as Wintex Strikers managed to scrape over the line in 19.4 overs.
