Wintex Striker cruise to 57 runs victory over Acme Technologies at Rashid Latif Cricket Academy.
Contributions from the top order and then the match winning spells from Israr-Ul-Haq and Adeel Abbasi took Wintex Strikers to an easy victory over Acme Technologies.
Wintex Strikers batted first against Acme Technologies. The openers Ali Mansoor and Adnan Salim got them off to a good and steady start , Adnan Salim was the aggressor of the two as he scored 25 of 12 before being dismissed. Ali Mansoor managed to score a 15 ball 12. After them the contributions came from the entire middle order but none of them carried the innings forward. The highlight of Wintex Strikers batting performance was the inning from Idrees Durrani who scored 47 of 30 balls. The lower order for Wintex Strikers could only manage to add up a total of 17 runs together which meant that Wintex Strikers were dismissed for 167 in 19.5 overs.
The second innings for Acme Technologies got off to a worst possible start as they lost wickets in a heap, 4 out of 5 top order batsmen fell for almost nothing. Though Saif tried to resist and scored 54 runs but he was fighting a lone battle and no one could manage to stay with him for long. The wickets fell one after another and only 3 batsmen managed to score in double figures. Sameer Zulfiqar was the last wicket to fell bowled by Adeel Abbasi who had an amazing day with the ball picking up 3 cruicial wickets. Israr-ul-Haq was another pick of the bowlers as he picked up 4 wickes for just 12 runs in his 4 overs.
In the end 167 proved to much for Acme Technologies as they were dismissed for just 110 and fell short by 57 runs.
