Wonder Boys Win A Low Scoring Clash



Wonder Boys and Shan XI featured in this low scoring clash of the 15th Challengers Cup. Wonder Boys batted first and were off to a dismal start as the top order failed to provide a decent start. A few brief knocks by the middle order allowed Wonder Boys to put themselves in a reasonable position, however no big innings was displayed by any batsman. Kashif Khan was the top scorer who came in to bat in the lower order and scored 24 runs.Mahmood Ali and Zain Ahmed took 3 wickets apiece while Imran Zia and Ali took 2 wickets each. Wonder Boys scored 125 runs after being all out in the last over.

Shan XI had a terrible start as one opener got out for a duck while the other one failed to reach a double figure score. Kamran Ahmed and Zain Ahmed tried to hold the innings together but Zain lost his wicket after an extremey defensive knock which resulted in 16 runs off 35 balls. Mehmood Ali fought back and tried to put his team back in the game and top scored with 39 runs, while Kamran gathered 33 runs. 2 wickets each were picked up by Kashif Khan and Daniyal, as Shan Xi finished their innings with 111 runs. Wonder Boys won the match by 15 runs.
