YCB vs GARMI XI (RAMZAN LEAGUE)
Garmi XI faced YCB in this low scoring clash of the Ramzan League. Garmi XI had a shaky start and this shakiness continued throughout their innings. Except opening batsman Gohar, no other batsman managed to reach the double figures. YCB bowling was dominant all the time. Noor got a five wicket haul in his 2 over spell which cost him only 9 runs. He was assisted by Asif who claimed two wickets. The rest of the bowling lineup comprising Talha, Yawar and Daniyal, was immaculate with their line and length. ZGarmi XI managed to score just 42 before being all out in the last over.
The start of the YCB innings was no different to that of Garmi XI. The top order collapsed and it looked like we had a game on. It was interesting to see Garmi XI putting in their best efforts to defend this small total. All was well for Garmi XI until Shoib came to the pitch. He scored a match winning knock of 24 runs in just 14 balls. He was assisted by Iffi who sensibly rotated the strike. Daniyal sent 2 batsmen back to pavillion at the cost of 17 runs while Shahzaib and Mumtaaz managed one wicket apiece.
With the help of 12 extras YCB chased the target in the 6hth over and won the match by 6 wickets.
