Zakir Malik’s Five-Wicket Haul Thrashed Al-Baraka

Bank Al-Habib and Al-Baraka went against each other on 23rd October at Eastern Star Ground.

Mukkaram Jaffri and Naseer Khan opened the innings for Al Baraka, scoring 16 and 12 runs respectively. Syed Daniyal, the one-down batter, scored 18 runs and lost his wicket to Wasi Rizvi’s ball. The bowlers displayed a sloppy effort, while the bowlers massively dominated. Zakir Malik bagged a 5-wicket haul in just 3.2 overs at an economy rate of 3.44 only. In addition to this, Wasi took 2 wickets. None of the batter stood up, hence, Al-Baraka posted a mediocre total of 102 runs.

Zakir Malik and Shahid Ayyoub opened the innings for Bank Al-Habib, scoring 26 and 7 runs respectively. Both the openers lost their wickets to Muhammad Ibrahim’s ball, who had an economy rate of 10 in 3 overs. Umer Imtiaz took to the crease and stabilised the innings for Bank Al-Habib. He scored 33 runs off 21 balls, hitting 3 fours. The cameos by Asif Ali and Adil Razzaq led the team closer to the score.

As a result, the collective effort of the batters paid off and they led the team to a win by 7 wickets in just 11 overs.
