Zippy Zircon batted first with the top 3 batsmen bamboozled for just 4 runs. The team had a disastrous day out with the bat, unable to keep wickets intact or the scoreboard ticking at any stage. Emeralds bowler did well to limit the opposition, picking up wickets at key times and keeping the momentum in their favor. Zircon batsmen Mustafa and Burhan then stepped in to try and save their side, scoring 43 and 34 runs respectively to help boost their side to a respectable total. Mustansir and Salman lead the bowling attack, taking 3 wickets each and restricting Zippy Zircon to a target of 134 in 20 overs.
Energetic Emeralds lost opener Hussain for duck and were off to a rocky start in their chase. Taha and Mustansir then stepped in to lead the recovery with valuable cameos of 20 and 30 respectively. Their dismissal however lead to an implosion with wickets falling and the batting line up unable to keep the scoreboard ticking. The onus then fell on Hasnain and Ammar, with scores in their 20s, Emeralds kept their hopes alive but fell just short of the target by 6 runs. Mohammad Ali and Abbas Ashraf were the key wicket takers for their side, taking 2 wickets each to stump the opposition. Energetic Emeralds scored 128 runs in 20 overs.
