Hush Puppies Vs Benitoz
Khas n Viper Premier League- Quarter Final
Hush Puppies went out to bat first and were off to a reasonable start with their openers Waqas and Danish giving them a solid platform at top. Both looked man in form and scored useful runs at the top, Waqas scored 19 of 18 whereas Danish scored 36 of 24 balls with 4 fours and 1 six. Once they were dismissed, the steering was handed over to Khurram and Asad and they drove the innings perfectly. They took advantage of the start and completely smashed the bowlers to all parts of the ground. They were in red hot form and they showed it. Khurram Saleem scored 62 off just 40 balls with 4 sixes and 2 fours whereas Asad Arshad scored 42 runs off 24 balls. Daniyal played also a little cameo of 24 off 15 balls. Benitoz bowlers were helpless against the opposition, unable to pick wickets or stop the flow of runs. Hush Puppies set a target of 198 in 20 overs.
Some special efforts were required to chase down the total but Benitoz did not get the beginning they were after as they kept losing wickets. Danish Aziz was the only batsmen to fight back; he held one end together and was desperately looking to have someone to hold up the other end as well. He scored 61 runs off 42 balls with 1 six and 5 fours. Raza Tahir and Saqib Bawa also contributed late in the innings with 29 and 12 runs respectively but it was a too little too late for Benitoz. Faisal Ashraf was the pick of the bowler with 3 scalps with the other bowlers doing well to support him. In the end, Hush Puppies won comfortably by 48 runs.
Hush Puppies cruised to the semi finals.
