It was a dream beginning for Legends CC when they went out to bat first in the first innings. The openers, Umer Ishtiaq and Ahmer Shaikh set the tone up for the entire innings with their incredible opening partnership. They used the early overs well to put the pressure on the bowling side and added more than 100 runs together without much trouble. Both scored scintillating half centuries, Umer managed to score exactly 50 of just 30 balls whereas Ahmer Shaikh scored 49 ball 71. The innings was off to a perfect start for them but as soon as the openers were dismissed, Khatri XI found an opening and took advantage of it by restricting the rest of the batsmen from playing big shots. The run rate was pulled back and the leader of the attack was Danish who picked up 1 wicket for just 22 runs in his 4 overs. In the end, Legends managed 178 in their 20 overs.
Khatri XI had momentum with them going in the second innings but it was not used effectively as their top order tumbled under pressure of chasing. Not much contributions came from the top order, Maaz Ahmed picked up 2 early wickets to set thing on right track for Legends CC. The innings was going nowhere with the chase for Khatri XI until Danish as joined by Asim. They both constructed a partnership, Danish only contributed 26 of 30 but he held one end together as from the other end Asim went berserk as he smashed the bowlers and batted with a strike rate of 186 during his 56 of 30 balls. This innings rang a few warning bells in Legends CC camp but they held their nerve and in the end won comfortably by 13 runs as Khatri were restricted to just 165.
