Rising Star CC Crowned Champions

Rising Star CC Vs Dawson Stars

15 Challengers Cup Final

Rising Star batted first and were off to an awful beginning as they lost Adeel Rizvi for duck off the very first ball of the game. The pressure was on them as it was the big game and now the next batsmen Abdul Rehman and Zia knew that they have to bring some stability in the innings, they tried their bit and formed a little partnership but both were dismissed when they were looking settled by Waqar Idrees for 20 and 11 respectively. The innings was not on the ideal track for Rising Star, Sumail and Danish then batted for a few overs and scored some crucial runs for their side. Both scored around a run a ball, Sumail scored 20 off 21 whereas Danish Fattani was the highest scorer of the innings with a valuable contribution of 40 runs. Sarwar Khan played a little cameo down at the end of 16 to boost his side to a respectable target of 140 runs in 20 overs. Dawson's bowlers fought hard to limit the opposition with Waqar and Daniyal striking at key times and taking 2 wickets each for their side.

The chase was on for Dawson Stars but the pressure of the final was put to rest when  Aashir and Zeeshan gave them a good platform with their opening partnership. Aashir scored 32 runs off 26 balls with 5 fours and Zeeshan managed to score 19 runs off 12 balls. The start was a good one for Dawson but soon they tumbled under pressure, they lost a few quick wickets to give another opening to Rising Star CC. Only Daniyal Ali held one end together and scored 31 runs  but wickets continued to fall from the other end. Mehmood and Muzzamil ran through the middle order and picked up 2 wickets each. The match went to the last over but Rising Star held their nerve to win by 3 runs.
