Burj Builders & Developers Dominate went against Big Buy Market on 25th September at TMC Cricket Ground.
Talha Ahmedani and Younus Tai opened the innings for Burj Builders. Much to the team’s dismay both got out on scores of 0 and 1 respectively. The start to the batting performance was quite sloppy, as the bowlers took advantage. Mustafa Fattani bagged 3 wickets. However, the middle order batters Farhan Maxii and Hammad Mughal stabilised the momentum. Maxii was successful in scoring 63 off 48, hitting 8 boundaries. Mughal, on the other hand, added 53 runs to the score at a strike rate of 151.43. Cameos by Owais Pasta and Madni Waqas Raja were extremely crucial to the team’s performance. Hence, Builders posted a massive total of 189 runs.
Shahbaz Attari and Hasnain Deriwala opened the innings for Big Buy Market. The team faced a huge blow, as both the openers were dismissed on a duck by Madni Waqas Raja. Even though Waqar Hafeez Vicky scored 52 off 37; however, the bowlers were successful in building the pressure. Talha Wahid and Moin Kodvavi bagged 2 wickets each.
Hence, Big Buy’s batters were restricted to a score of 128 runs in 20 overs. As a result, Burj Builders emerged winners by 61 runs, securing their position in the final of SPL.
